Introducing the $99 (+GST) Senior Refresher Program

We'll put you in the most dangerous situations, without the risk!

Our Senior Refresher program is one hour of specialized training to help boost your confidence on the road by improving your ability to handle snow, rain, fog and nighttime conditions

You'll learn to use ABS braking effectively, plus advanced skid pad training will teach you how to handle changing road conditions - in the safety of our responsive and amazingly realistic simulator.  More extensive programs are highlighted below.

Safe driving has become more of a challenge in today's world with more cars,  higher speeds and other drivers displaying much less patience and courtesy.  Experience is one of the most valuable assets for any driver.  But, does it seem as if you are having to draw on your years of experience more often than ever to anticipate danger and avoid accidents.  You are not alone…

How do you determine what the correct driving solution is for you, in this ever changing environment?

The drive for life simulators let you experience the widest range of driving situations, without any risk of physical harm or property damage. drive for life will build your confidence by allowing you to test, understand, and adjust your own driving, based on your individual needs.  Refresh your skills, learn new techniques and strategies, and let our staff answer all of your driving questions.

Simulator training has consistently reduced accident rates amongst participants, and has been widely used by the law enforcement, commercial freight, and airline sectors for decades.

The drive for life Seniors Program is designed to meet your individual needs and can be taken as a private, semi-private or group lesson. Each course is 3 hours in duration, taking place over 2 one and half hour sessions.

 

We'll start with a introductory classroom session that will introduce you to the SPOT method of decision-making: Spot, Predict, Options and Taking action - reviewing the psychological, physical and environmental factors that affect a driver's ability.  We will also revisit the foundations of safe driving; seat and mirror settings, vehicle dynamics, tire choices, and electronic driver aids such as ABS and Traction Control are all covered.

And then you’ll have a fifteen minute introductory driving session on a drive for life simulator; you’ll be amazed at how incredibly realistic this experience is!

drive for life simulators provide the opportunity to make real-time decisions.  In addition to handling the vehicle properly, the driver will deal with changes in weather, traffic density and road conditions.  After refining your decision making skills in SPOT, you will demonstrate the skills necessary to complete the tasks, overcome any challenges, and arrive at your destination safely.

During the next 2 hours, you will build your skills in our SAFE learning environment.SAFE is not only an acronym for how we successfully build skills:  Scanning, Acquiring options, Forming habits and Excelling.  SAFE also refers to the difficult driving challenges that can only be provided safely in our simulator environment. The following chart highlights the objectives for each SAFE module.
